Chincoteague Senior Center will be housed inside the Island Community Center at 6246 Mumford Street on Chincoteague Island. Although our initial phase of outreach within the community has been postponed until the governor gives us the "all clear" to resume social activities, we are still available to area seniors.
Currently we are inviting anyone in the northern limits of Accomack County and on the island within the category of "older Americans" that may benefit from delivery of a two-week supply of frozen meals to contact us.

Are you curious about beginning a yoga practice? Don’t know where to begin? Think you can’t do it because of x, y, and z? Here’s some wonderful news: yoga can be accessible to everyone and everybody. Yoga is a practice of awareness. It is the cultivation of awareness within the body, mind, and spirit and keeping an intention to anchor yourself in the present moment. AnyBODY can practice yoga. A physical asana practice involves pranayama (breathwork), concentration, and awareness of the body within space during movement and postures (asana).
I believe in making yoga accessible to all people. If you’re interested in beginning a yoga practice, I teach on Monday evenings at the Island Community House on Chincoteague Island. Class begins at 5:45 pm. Mats, blocks, blankets, and straps provided if needed. All levels welcome, including beginners. $10 drop in fee.
Please head on over to https://yogawithroxie.offeringtree.com/ to sign up. See you on the mat!
