Our Location Downtown

The non-profit Island Community House is located downtown, directly behind the Island Theatre Annex at 6246 Mumford Street. The first floor has an industrial kitchen, large open space, bathroom and meeting room. The second floor has two bedrooms.

YMCA's Older Adults Programming at the Island Community House

Several of the Y's Older Adults Programming are held held here at the Island Community House...

Check the Y's calendar here each month for events and programs!


The Y has you covered on Older Adults Programming! Several programs, such as the popular "Sit & Stitch" on Wednesdays, take place at the Island Community House and are free and open to the public!  For classes and events that require registration, stop in at the David Landsberger YMCA (6395 Maddox Blvd. on Chincoteague Island) or give them a call at (757) 336-6266. Also, call if you would like to attend an event, but don't have transportation to get to the Island Community House. They will come to you, pick you up and deliver you back home!

Yoga Class Plus Sound Bath at ICH March 7th

Calling all Chincoteague Island Yogis! Brittany Colona and Yoga with Roxie have teamed up to offer you a special class this March! Join us on Saturday, March 7 from 6-7:30 pm at the Island Community House for a 60 minute yoga class followed by a 30 minute sound bath during Savasana. A sound bath is a relaxing and beautiful meditation experience where you “bathe” in sound waves and vibrations produced by singing bowls. 


Join us for a rejuvenating yoga and sound experience!This class will be ALL LEVELS, beginners welcome. Mats, blocks, blankets, and straps provided if needed! Spaces are limited! Please head on over to https://yogawithroxie.offeringtree.com to reserve your spot.

Salsa Dancing Classes with Charlin Casiano & Jonjon Almodóvar

Learn Salsa Dancing with Charlin Casiano & Jonjon Almodóvar at the Island Community House! Family-friendly environment, all-ages, no partner needed, $5 per person… it's a great way to meet people, make friends, get in shape and have fun!  Thursdays: February 27, March 5 and 19. Each night from 7:00-8:00pm. Join us!
