ICH Senior Center will be housed inside the Island Community Center at 6246 Mumford Street on Chincoteague Island. Although our initial phase of outreach within the community has been postponed until the governor gives us the "all clear" to resume social activities, we are still available to area seniors.
Currently we are inviting anyone in the northern limits of Accomack County and on the island within the category of "older Americans" that may benefit from delivery of a two-week supply of frozen meals to contact us.
Please comment here or send us a private message or contact the manager at 757-710-0739 by call or text, or by email at email@example.com.
Let the ICH Senior Center know if you would like to receive frozen meals delivered to your home. Currently, as per federal guidelines, we are operating under relaxed requirements during the covid-19 pandemic, through the Eastern Shore Area Agency on the Aging. Through the generosity and vision of our local grant writer, our aim is to offer frozen meals to anyone considering themselves as "aging in place" in the senior community, so please notify us of your need if you are in a food shortage. You can reach the manager at the cell number 757-710-0739 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, during this social distancing effort.

Are you curious about beginning a yoga practice? Don’t know where to begin? Think you can’t do it because of x, y, and z? Here’s some wonderful news: yoga can be accessible to everyone and everybody. Yoga is a practice of awareness. It is the cultivation of awareness within the body, mind, and spirit and keeping an intention to anchor yourself in the present moment. AnyBODY can practice yoga. A physical asana practice involves pranayama (breathwork), concentration, and awareness of the body within space during movement and postures (asana).
I’m going to be offering Facebook live classes on my page. As some of you know, this is super out of my comfort zone, but I’m learning to lean into the discomfort and find growth throughout this experience. I can say it’s very strange talking to an empty room and computer screen. BUT, I am really enjoying reconnecting with you all again, albeit virtually.
Classes will be all-levels Vinyasa Flow. Please feel free to comment specific types of postures you would like to practice in the upcoming classes.
See you on the mat! https://www.facebook.com/yoga.with.roxie
